Its been long since I wanted to give myself and be a part of charity. I always wanted to help other people. I am ready to help but the problem is I dont have enough resources to help anybody. But since I am from India there are lots of people who need help.
So today I took a decision, Start a Charity Trust by myself. Being an internet guy I googled a little bit regarding this. “How to start one Charity Trust”. But the results I got were not encouraging. It said like, for starting one charity trust, one should have lots of money and resouces. Again the resouces problem. And in india the polititions plays a BIG role, if we want to start something of our own. A simple middle class family guys like me can not even think of starting anything. So atlast I thought what if i start my own website and invite people to share what they have got.
I can do that. Let people share anything, let it be old clothes, donations, used or new books, etc etc,. It can be anything. There are things which we will just use and throw. Things like these will be very helpful to people who dont have all those. India got famous after the Academy Award Winning film “Slumdog Millionare” released. But the real fact is terrible than this. If you have been to India, you can see it for yourself.
Last week I went to velankanni, which is famous for a great number of pilgrims. Its like Lourdes in France, Velankanni is nicknamed as Lourdes of the East. But the thing I noticed here was the number of small children who were begging me for money, food, cloths, etc etc. One single man can not help them all. After reaching back home, my mind was full of their faces.
You can see lots of orphanages, Old Age Homes, Home for Pysically as well as mentally challenged people, etc in India. These are very common, and almost all of them are maininating by some or other kinds of missionaries. Normally they will be needing help all the time. But the helping hands are never enough. More than money they will be needing thing like clothes, toys, food, facilities etc.
So I was thinking about all these, how can I contribute, how can I help them,..
After a few days this idea struck me. May I can't just all of help them with money. But the used clothes, used electronic items, used toys etc, will be easy to find and people will be happy to give those things away.
When I thought, starting a website solely for this, seemed to be a good idea. So as a first step I am just starting a blogging website for this. Later this month or next month begining I will be buying a sole domain for this website. But starting a website is only the first step. The visitors should really contribute, then only I can help it.
But even if I am doing a good deed, there are laws, for helping people also. So if you are aware of these kind of laws, please let me know, So we will not be in any kind of trouble. As of now I am not giving any addresses, to where you can send your kind givings. I will update this blog when you can send it and to where you have to send it. Once I gets enough resources I will be giving those to any Old Age homes, orphanages, etc., and will be posting video testimonials once I donate them. As of now just show me your support in commnets, So that it will be very encouraging.
